The beautiful church of St Michael and All Angels at Arthuret near the town of Longtown is a delightful location for your wedding. Secluded from the hubbub of city life you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, yet be only half a mile from the town centre where there are many locations to hold your reception. The church is a fairly large building for a rural setting and can seat up to 350 of your friends and family. The outlying scenery is stunning. Ask the Rector to take you to view the countryside from the top of the tower!! You will view former battlefields from the days of yore and can learn about the Border Reivers from the locals. A gorgeous red carpet heralds your entrance, as you proceed forward to the chancel you will pass your family and friends seated in original wooden oak pews. Standing at the chancel steps, you will see the choir stalls in font of you with the altar at the east end where you can gaze in admiration at the colourful east window. To the left is the organ which was fully restored in 1995. There are also facilities for playing CDs. Facilities.
